The Vlogist Life
The Artist Life have posted another video blog (vlog!) and would like you watch it, rate it, comment on it, remix it, whatever.
Fun note: one of the folks in this video was 6 inches deep in Avril Lavigne back when she was 17 (and still cute).

our school system is fucked...

honestly.

i got an email from an eager young band today. Don't get me wrong... this is something I normally wouldn't do buuuuuuut this got me so fuming mad... you know the type of mad that makes you wanna write a letter to someone? Well, this is my letter...

I'm not the best speller in the world... this is why i thank god every day for spell check. However, as someone who completed high school and dabbled in the post secondary world, I understand the basics of grammar and spelling... especially when sending a letter that is of somewhat professional form. spell check has been created for our advantage... use it for Pete's sake.

I just don't get how someone with the lack of skills as what I'm about to show you could possibly graduate high school. What is the school system doing for the youth of today?... seriously.

here you are:
"Helloo we are a power pop punk band from Toronto, Ont called Fire and Sound we are a three piece band our ages are between 17 and 18 years of age we are yong tallent our band has been together for 1 year. We are playing alot of shows in Toronto we are trying to get on the show Dis Band We also followed some of the 2009 Warped Tour playing for the lines. We are working on some amazing new music and we are in the studio recording 5 new songs this week we will have a 12 songs demo when its finished. We just finished high school and we honestly want to be one of the biggest band in the world. We are trying to get our fan bace big and we were wondering if you could check us out and maby we could play a show or open for any bands if possible we wont dissapoint. Hope to hear back. "

I just don't get it...

...and please, for the love of god, DISBAND!!

happy hump day friends.

Where Am I & How Did I Get Here?

Seriously tho... Kids is the most messed up movie next to Gumo.

Just ate a good ole burrito from the one BURRITO BOYS Vegan burritos yo.

So shits been crazy. The summer is almost over... festival season is done for us and we couldn't have loved it more. We saw illScarlett take the victory at the 420 olympics at CEMF, the return of Closet Monster at Wakestock, some campfire building with The Artist Life, Stereos killing it at every stage they laid their feet on and one crazy journey through mexico in the the states. WOWZERS! And that doesn't even touch on the bachelor/bachelorette party in Niagara Falls we had for Brionie and Kreefts wedding (Aug. 29th... wish them best of luck!) What a terrible time that was ;)

And the party doesn't stop there... We've been working like crazy mad men here at the UO office. Kingdoms and Dean Lickyer releases coming up at the end of September/beginning of October. Jason Mewes directing the Artist Life video for "Let's Start a Riot" on September 1st. Protest the Hero DVD is finally hitting your player (that shit is in HD and surround sound yo!) Sam Bradley music and videos. Stereos record so close to being done, we can almost taste it. Jason Mewes doing a Q&A at Bloor St. Cinema on Sept. 3rd (buy tickets here).... and the list goes on and on.

Saw GI Joe the other night... it was alright. The dialogue was pretty hilarious but I can resist a good chase scene nor a good explosion. Started watching the NOFX backstage passport show... those fucks are nuts.... but i guess we all knew that anyhow.

Pretty damn excited to see the Degrassi movie... yah, cause im a loser like that.

I am one sleepy mexican bear so til next time...

A little birdie told me...

that tomorrow, there's going to be some hot as shit announcements. Something about a TAL east coast tour and Stereos merch available online

I don't know... maybe im wrong. It was 4:20.

Scenefest is like an old cousin you only see at Christmas. You're stoked as fuck when you get there, have a great time and when you are heading home are psyched you are leaving.

High fives to The Flatliners for a 'smokin' set, The Artist Life for the dancing jams, and Stereos for their good looks. OH! and thanks to the rain, we didn't win with DWW but did with copious amounts of beer with ole pals Liam, Yarko & Ronan!

Vitamin water is my new best friend.... add it with some vodka and you got my new boyfriend.

Good times Scenefest.

til next year. i'll miss yah.

The work in progress..

This is a little late, but better late than never I suppose? Welcome to the new website!

Its been a long process, full of ideas, more ideas, new ideas, old ideas, scrapped ideas, reworked ideas, etc.. Building the backend for this puppy was the biggest task I've taken on yet, and there's still a long way to go... It feels good to get this site launched though.

I'm currently working on the new online store, which will fit into the current design.. Look out for that in the next month or so... Hopefully..

In the meantime, take a look around.. You might notice the random slogans at the bottom... You might also notice that you can submit your own.. Do it.

That's it from me... If you have any suggestions for the site, or notice any glitches, fire me an email at john@undergroundoperations.com

Oh, and if you dig the site and want to work on your website, store, myspace, merchandise, logo, etc etc, then visit www.melodiccreative.com. Sweet?

Space Boobs

We bring a better way. Our handshake crushing bone. The blankets that keep you warm, we've soiled with disease. The Bringer of Greater Things. Creator of Brighter Days. The hollow songs you'll sing at the ending of your day.

One thing I hung onto nearly thirteen years later is the fact that I'm still 17.

Music, hope and more than my share of tasty shit sandwiches = Indiana Jones' cup of Christ...but this time I don't think it was the penetent man that past.

I still want to go to space more than anything, play video games, and I like boobs more than oxygen. Fuck, I like boobs. lol.

Dollarama's Raisin Bread...

Is probably one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I love raisin bread, and the fact that I can get a whole loaf for a dollar, amazing...now i can lie in bed like the fat slob I am and eat bread while watching episodes of the simpsons...

If i ever invite you over to party...i probably mean sitting eating bread watching simpsons...don't be surprised...cause you've now been warned...
