We're giving a few lucky contestants a once in a life time chance to be forever documented on on the dvd, asking Protest The Hero a question. It can be as serious or as ridiculous as you want. Today (12.09.08) LIGHTS will be on MOD playing live. Then, on 12.16.08, The Artist Life will be on MTV playin live too. And to wrap up the holiday invasion on 12.18.08 a couple members of PTH dressed in womans panties and bras will decent upon the MOD environment.

We are stoked to announce our Christmas show for the Sound Academy this year. The Underground Operations Christmas Ho! Down featuring: Protest The Hero, LIGHTS, Chad Michael Stewart, The Artist Life, Kathleen Turner Overdrive, Hostage Life, Banham and Branko, Ko Kapaches & more...Its December 18th, come on out. Its going to be filled with ho's and snow.
Tickets are available through Ticket Master for $21.50.  But if you hurry, apparently someone doesn’t know how to do math and if you order 4, they will only set you back $10 a pop.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

The Artist Life record is available and launched into the outermost reached parts of our galaxy. Some have predicted that it may in fact knock the planet off its axis and as our atmosphere burns up and turns the earth into a giant fire ball, we will begin a planetary journey across space and time on a burning rock. Probably dead though.  Shitty buzz. Great record.

Chad Michael Stewart's record comes out today, the 21st of Oct. Please support him, there is no artist more dedicated to his craft and music. He is playing the Courthouse as a release show in Toronto tonight. Come on out. Going to be gorgeous.

The Artist Life have been chosen as Myspace's featured artist and now have a full album stream on their page. You can check out all the tracks a week in advance. And they are deady like snakes and throwing stars.

LIGHTS has cancelled the national anthem appearance for tonight with the Leafs due to health reasons before her upcoming tour dates.

On October 26th we will be packing into the van one last time for a cross-Canada headlining tour. Here is how the tour breaks down.

28 Shows:

16 Ontario and Eastern Canada Dates
5 US Dates (Midwest)
7 Western Canada Dates

For the Eastern Canada portion Means will be apart of the Underground Operations UNITY TOUR that features KTO and guests, while the final Western Canada shows will be alongside our friends in HORIZONS.

These will be our final shows together, and Means will be disbanding after a final performance scheduled for November 29th in Regina, SK.

What began as new friends playing music together in a small northern Manitoba town is now nearly seven years later, a cloud of experiences upon which we look with both gratitude and pride. Grateful to have been a part of this band, through such formative years of life, all while having the opportunity to share in something meaningful to each of us; Music. For the outlet of this particular sound, which we cherish and trust, and for those of you who shared these years and become the community that surrounds us, we are ever grateful. Thank you for the camaraderie that we share and for your sincerity and spirit. As a band, we are proud of the miles behind us and the work ethic we maintained even though nothing-is-perfect. We are proud that we were a band that was able to laugh with one another and at ourselves along the way, often to the point of vomiting, crying, soiling etc., or all-of-the-above. Happy for all the pathetic inside jokes that for good reason mean nothing to anyone but us. Finally, we are proud of one another and the people we are becoming; trusting that through the experience of playing in this band we are growing to be more compassionate and understanding individuals.

We would like to thank Underground Operations, Facedown Records, Ian @ Blackbox, Kevin Gales, Rosesdead, Everynewday, Misery Signals and Life in your way; for your guidance, inspiration, good faith and friendship throughout the life of this band.

In closing, we would like to say that though it is rare when something ends, means will finish this winter on good terms and we are happy to announce the upcoming month long tour to celebrate together.

So...summer is winding down and festival season is almost over. We had a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, some good smoke, some good times, some rain, some mushroom moshpits, a serious bohemoth downfall, some veggie weenies, and some Sweeny curse from the Oakland As. We rocked hard, our bands played loud, we traveled around the fucking countryside in cars and on bmx’s, we gave high fives and met good people, and drunk people, and people we didn’t really like but put up with for a while. There were 420 games and lighting disasters, and we fucked like champs and drank wine with a smile… they were the best of times and no matter what becomes of all this, we will look back and probably shake our heads slowly with a slight grin and some pride. Thanks to all who were a part of the team. This summer ain't quite over but it still felt like a dream.

Protest The Hero
Protest the hero will be releasing a digital remix ep with a track done by Devin Townsend. It will be available on Itunes anyday now. Keep checkin it out. Keep your eyes pealed. They have also announced that they will be embarking on a tour with Unearth throughout the US, then to Russia, and then hooking up with Unearth again over in Europe. And on a final note, they are very relieved to be coming home alive and exausted from a summer on the warped tour, to relax for a bit and unwind. Then shoot a video. Then play a couple shows. Then jack off or screw their girlfriends...and then unwind some more.

Kathleen Turner Overdrive
Played some great shows over the summer thus far and looked stylish and empowered as ever. I hear that Brandon beat up an engineer for that sweater of his, and that steve is going to pose nude for Playgirl.

LIGHTS
Has a Top Ten radio song this week. What’s the deal with that?! well, I guess its just that damn good yo.
